Nawaz says no need to approach SC if parliament functioning


HARIPUR, Dec 02 (SANA): President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that if the Parliament was performing its duties, then I would not have needed to approach the Supreme Court over the memogate issue, adding that I did not level sedition charges against anyone in SC; instead, I just made an effort to bring to the fore the faces involved in steps against the country.
Mian Nawaz Sharif was talking to media in Haripur on Friday after offering condolences with PML-N leader Pir Sabir Shah over the demise of his mother.

He said that he is geared up to help government and the armed forces of Pakistan but the government continued the policies of former president general (rted) Parvez Musharraf, adding that Musharraf government had signed a number of agreements with the US after 9/11which were against the sovereignty of the country.
He said that he his party would not allow opening new East India Company in the country, adding that he did not raise finger at anyone in the Supreme Court nor did he call anyone a traitor. 
It is incumbent upon everyone to stem the path of those who are hatching anti-state plots, he asserted that no session of the Parliament was called long after the Abbottabad occurrence.
Nawaz Sharif said he went to the Supreme Court over the memo issue after the failure of the parliament to look into the matter of the national importance. 
He asked from government what the parliament had done to restore the judges, adding the parliamentary party of PPP had taken stand to restore the judges.
He said that except the parties of Balochistan all other parties agreed upon the APC resolution but the government has not brought the resolution of APC in the parliament , adding that the Supreme Court taken suo motu notice of rental power case and recovered the money while the parliament had done nothing to stop the corruption.
He said that NRO had not passed from the parliament due to the stand of PML-N and the PPP had done nothing to stop the approval of NRO, adding that the government had done nothing regarding the incident of Mohmand Agency and handed over the issue to a parliamentary committee for investigation; instead of taking the parliament into confidence. The parliament is not working on these steps, he added.

He said that the parliament had done nothing, adding that the government constituted commission on Abbotabad incident but no body knows about any activity of the Abbotabad Commission, adding that he is doing all this for the interests of the country.
He said that the Steel Mills’ all over the world earning profits and our steel mill is facing loses every day, adding that the institutions of the countries destroyed and mismanaged due to affluent corruption.
Replying a question, Nawaz said that the lying of PPP leaders after the hearing of memo case by Supreme Court is regrettable, adding that this statement at this moment should have not come.
He said that the agenda for the betterment of the country was signed by me and late Benazir Bhutto but president Zardari did not implement the said agenda instead of having great chance.
Replying a question, he said he will be glad over formation of Hazara province, adding that no party could be revolutionary if it was associated with the establishment
